Do you have a child (6+) or adolescent who is experiencing anxiety, depression, social skills deficits, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem, or behavior problems?
Are you an adult who is experiencing anxiety or depression, and would like to learn strategies for managing stress, reducing symptoms, and developing insight?
My approach to therapy involves understanding each client’s unique situation with sensitivity while providing a non-judgmental and nurturing environment. I strive to empower my clients by helping them to identify and build upon their individual strengths and abilities. I believe that a therapeutic relationship is built upon empathy, mutual respect, and genuine encouragement. I also have a compassion for helping children and adolescents to overcome emotional and behavioral obstacles by using developmentally-sensitive, creative, and interactive methods.
I support children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of concerns:
- Body Image Concerns
- Academic, Social, Familial, Adjustment Difficulties
My approach blends various evidenced-based treatment modalities to meet your specific needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. I also focus on helping to enhance insight and self-awareness, while increasing overall feelings of self-confidence and acceptance.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UNC-Chapel Hill and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNC-Greensboro.
In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurance companies:
