Has your child experienced trauma and is now acting withdrawn, irritable, hypervigilant, or anxious?
It can be hard to see your child in pain and be unsure of how best to help them. These are common symptoms of a PTSD diagnosis and there is help. Using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence based therapy, I can help your child to overcome their trauma.
Are you worried about your child because they no longer are participating in activities that they used to love? Are they experiencing changes in sleep or eating habits? Are they socially withdrawn, irritable, feeling hopeless, having trouble with concentration, or suicidal?
Seeing your child become depressed can be hard for parents. You want to be able to help your child and fix things quickly for them. Sometimes helping your child takes time and help from a counselor who can provide you with tools to help your child in and out of the home.
