I am very happy to have been matched with Dr. Ward for my first counseling experience. Dr. Ward provided strategies that I feel will be very beneficial to me.
Are you feeling anxious, depressed, or are struggling with the loss of a loved one?
Is a life transition or daily stress overwhelming you and leaving you feeling crippled and unsure how to tackle your problems?
Is it a challenge to communicate with your partner? Do you struggle with not feeling heard or understood?
Beginning counseling for the first time or continuing counseling with someone new can be a challenging experience. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to feel safe to be your genuine self.
I use a collaborative approach during therapy. Throughout our work together, I will balance support and insight in order to help process and understand your distress. I will also discuss tools that we will practice so you can apply them as you approach future obstacles.
I graduated with a Masters and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kentucky and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
My areas of interest are:
- Obsessions and/or compulsions
- Relationship concerns
- Life transitions
- LGBTQ Topics
- Mindfulness and Acceptance
In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurance companies:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (all plans)
- United Healthcare

PREVIOUS CLIENTS’ FEEDBACK
With their permission, here are some experiences of former clients…
Although initially nervous, Dr. Ward put me at ease.
My therapist Christina Ward has greatly helped me with my Disorder – not only by being patient to diagnose me but also by greatly minimizing unnecessary emotional pain. I have gone from a person with no coping mechanisms and poor values due to trauma to someone I know I can love and forgive. I am so grateful for her and this counseling center. I truly feel cared for here.-
