Rachel Kepes, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Have you noticed a change in your child’s attitude, mood, or personality?

I am especially passionate to help parents find out what is behind a shift in behavior. Children’s behavior can be a symptom of emotional, attention, or attachment and relational difficulties. My desire is to help parents and children find perspective and solutions to be able to make progress towards a happier and more connected existence.

Has your adolescent become secretive, depressed, or anxious?

Adolescence is an exciting but often challenging time for both teens and their parents. I enjoy helping parents reconnect with their teen while giving the teen a safe space to explore challenges around balancing family, school, and friends during a frustrating transitional time.

Are you an adult under the age of 35 that feels stuck in a career, relationship, in dependence mode, or personal goals?

The challenges of transitioning from adolescence into young adulthood can be a very thrilling but terrifying experience. I have great interest in working with young adults who want to explore their fears, desires, goals, and struggles in a safe place so that they can begin heading down a path towards their dreams.

My goal is to help children, adolescents, and their families feel more connected and powerful. I also enjoy helping young adults set and pursue their dreams. Even though I am not a certified play therapist I enjoy using some art and play techniques to connect with children and adolescence. I also have extensive training in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and bring an experiential perspective to my sessions.

As a client-centered therapist, I give clients an individualized approach that relies on your strengths and goals while utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, solution-focused practices, and experiential methods. Past clients have described me as non-judgmental, transparent, creative, and compassionate. Ultimately, I am a relational therapist who believes in the power of relationships and connection.
