Mary Jo McInerny

Licensed Professional Counselor

Are you a woman who is feeling anxious or depressed because of a life transition?

Is a crisis or stressful situation making you feel paralyzed?

Does life seem more complicated than you can handle on your own?

During times of stress and transition, it is easy to lose faith in your skills and abilities. I will help you discover resilience and learn new and effective coping skills. Working together, you will build strength and courage and find that times of change can be an opportunity for a new beginning.

For over 30 years I partnered with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including schools, clinics, and the Department of Juvenile Justice and worked as a Supreme Court Certified Divorce and Family Mediator. For the past 10 years, I have been an adjunct professor and advisor at both Furman University and Webster University.

I received my bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and my master’s degree in Counseling from Rollins College. I also pursued advanced education from the Citadel’s counseling program.
