Christina Ward, Psy.D.
Are you feeling anxious or depressed or struggling with the loss of a loved one?
Is a life transition or daily stress overwhelming you and leaving you feeling crippled and unsure how to tackle your problems?
Is it a challenge to communicate with your partner and you struggle with not feeling heard or understood?
Beginning counseling for the first time or continuing counseling with someone new can be a challenging experience. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to feel safe to be your genuine self.
I use a collaborative approach during therapy. Throughout our work together, I will balance support and insight in order to help process and understand your distress. I will also discuss tools that we will practice so you can apply them as you approach future obstacles.
I graduated with a Masters and Doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kentucky and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
My areas of interest are:
- Obsessions and/or compulsions
- Relationship concerns
- Life transitions
- LGBTQ Topics
- Mindfulness and Acceptance
In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurance companies:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield (all plans)
- Medicaid (all plans)
