Cheryl Smith, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Are you a woman who wants freedom from a life struggle and needs support and insight as you move through it?

Are you struggling to feel empowered as you face depression, anxiety or difficult relationship dynamics?

For over 30 years it has been my privilege to support and encourage hundreds of women through life’s difficult seasons.  I have provided individual counseling as well as women support groups, whose participants came from a variety of backgrounds including military wives.

At some point or another, all women will face a difficult season.  Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, a life transition like divorce or grief, or emotional, physical, or sexual trauma, you deserve compassion and acceptance.  Through the process of therapy, I will help you let go of old patterns and hurts, which will increase your self-esteem and self-acceptance.

If you are a woman 18 or older, it would be my privilege to support your journey to a happier, healthier you.  One of the greatest strengths of women is our courage and tenacity to face our issues, recognize our limitations and reach out for help.  For that reason, even a short course of therapy can be very beneficial.

I frequently work with women in the following areas:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationship Concerns
  • Stress/Life Transitions
  • Trauma

In addition to clients who are private pay, I am in-network with the following insurance companies:

    • Blue Cross/Blue Shield (including SC State and Federal)
    • Medicaid (Select Health, First Choice, Molina, and Healthy Connections)
