About Me

Ihave fifteen years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), helping people deal with a variety of relationship issues and struggles. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Communication from James Madison University in 1992 and worked for two years in Public Relations before returning to Loyola College for a Master’s in Counseling in 1994. Loyola’s program had an extra focus in helping clients work through spiritual issues, as well as encouraging counseling candidates to carefully explore their own issues so that they would not interfere in their work with clients.

After graduation, I was a counselor and clinical supervisor for six years working with adolescents and their families in Washington, DC. I also had a part-time private practice working with adults who were experiencing a variety of issues. After moving to Charleston, SC, in 2004, I founded the Charleston Counseling Center where I practice part time.
