To get in touch:
Are you an adult struggling with anxiety?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life and unsure how to manage stressors?
Are you caring for an elderly loved one and need support in your challenging role?
I will start our therapy process by deeply listening to your current life situation and where you are feeling most stuck. Then we will develop a plan together to help you achieve your goals. I will make the process comfortable and safe and many previous clients have shared that I am easy to talk with.
I have extensive experience working with anxiety and stress management, and from the first session I will teach you useful and relevant tools and techniques that help reduce stress and enhance feelings of peace and calm. I also have a deep toolkit of resources that can provide you additional support as well as new and helpful connections.
I have a particular passion for the elderly and their caregivers and understand the unique stressors that come with that role. I will help you make the situation more manageable and provide compassion and support for this challenging role.
In my clinical work, I use treatment tools that haven been researched and proven to be effective, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Missouri-Kansas City and my Master’s degree in Social Work at University of Georgia. I am a native of Charleston and have been working in the area since completion of my graduate work in 1999.
Currently, I am in-network with the following insurance companies:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield, including SC State plans, Federal and BlueChoice
- Healthy Connections, Select Health/First Choice, and BlueChoice Medicaid
I also accept clients who are self-pay. For those clients wishing to use out-of-network benefits, often you will receive direct reimbursement from your insurance company. Please contact our administrative staff to find out exactly what your mental health coverage is. For your convenience, our staff will submit all insurance claims electronically.
Don’t hesitate to reach out for help today, suffering alone only makes these feeling worse and you deserve help and support during this tough season.
