Psychologist Christina Ward, Psy.D.
Have you been feeling anxious or depressed? Have you been struggling with other types of distress that stem from the loss of a loved one, stress, or a recent life transition?
Have you recently been feeling that it is a challenge to communicate with your partner? Do you struggle with not feeling heard or understood?
Beginning counseling for the first time or continuing counseling with someone new can be a challenging experience. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to feel safe to be your genuine self. I use a collaborative approach to therapy. Throughout our work together I will balance support and insight in order to help process and understand your distress. I will also discuss tools that we will practice so you can apply them as you approach future obstacles.
If you are an adult and have struggled with ADHD throughout your life or if you are currently wondering if you may have ADHD, I can administer a thorough evaluation to assess for these symptoms and make recommendations to help you reach your goals.
I graduated with a Masters and Doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kentucky and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
